Tencent is dropping several new hints regarding what players can expect from the upcoming PUBG Mobile 2.0 update. The upcoming patch is going to very unique as it is officially launching the full version of Livik, one of the most loved classic maps in the game.

PUBG Mobile adds a lot of new content for the players with every update along with some exclusive collaborations which helps the game to stay apart from the crowd of other battle-royale games. After celebrating the 4th anniversary of the global hit battle-royale game, players are looking forward to the PUBG Mobile 2.0 update whose release date has not been announced as of now. However, from the pre-patch notes declared by the officials, it seems like the update is lurking around the corner.

According to leaks, the major update can be seen within 10th-13th May as Tencent pushes out new updates after every 2 months. The PUBG Mobile 2.0 update date is same for both Android and iOS users but the time might vary for different devices.

The features of PUBG Mobile 2.0 update have surprisingly been revealed much earlier than the release date of this update. Here is what we know so far from the pre patch notes-

Official Livik map

Players can finally enjoy the official version of Livik map. The new version is going to very different from the beta version as players will encounter new urban areas as major locations have been revamped. A special new vehicle to counter the difficult terrain of Livik, new supply shops providing XT weapons have been installed.

Other new features such as ziplines, advance supply zones that appear initially providing a lot of supplies, soccer challenges and other fun gameplay mechanics will be a part of the official Livik map.

Evangelion colaboration

PUBG Mobile 2.0 update is collaborating with a Japanese anime series named Neon Genesis Evangelion. Anime fans can rejoice as they will be able to claim special suits and enjoy a themed mode in Erangel and Livik. This themed mode will feature a special blue zone mechanic making matches less time consuming and more lethal as players will land in an enclosed area.

Classic mode improvements

Several changes have been brought to the classic maps in the PUBG Mobile 2.0 update making the gameplay a lot more easier for the players. Here is what to expect-

Emergency pickup feature

The emergency pickup feature will allow players to summon the rescue plane that will carry them as well as their teammates to the center of the playzone. They can also choose to land at some other place if they do not want to reach the center. In the blue zone, players will continue to take damage even if they are using the emergency pickup.

Haptic feature

A new feature named the Haptic System will be incorporated in the game. The device of the players will vibrate whenever an action like hitting another enemy or character footsteps takes place in the classic mode matches. Players can adjust the frequency of the haptic system to get an optimized gaming.

As the new season is about to start in the game, the developers have incorporated several changes into the tier system of the game. Bronze tier as well as silver tier will now be divided into different sub tiers. However, no changes have been made to the Gld Tier or above.
