PUBG Mobile 2.1 update: Ancient Secret Returns!
PUBG Mobile is getting another update after two months. The July patch or the PUBG Mobile 2.1 update is bringing back one of the most loved game modes i.e. the Ancient Secret mode. Players will once again face a huge boss monster at the temple ruins and will be required to defeat them as well as the other enemies if they require a good amount of supplies.
With the PUBG Mobile World Invitational up ahead, eSports players will jump to a new update that has brought various optimizations in the game that can even change the meta. Here is what players should look forward to.

PUBG Mobile 2.1 update patch notes
Tencent has already started pushing out the PUBG Mobile 2.1 update for Android and iOS devices and by today, most of the players might have already got the new content while some still wait to receive it. The new features that have been prepared for this patch is discussed here below-
Themed Game Mode- Ancient Secret Arise
The Pharaoh has returned to the game with golden stand. Players will be able to see the Pharaoh that reappears amidst the golden thick sandstorm. This themed game mode will be available from July 13th and will be available in the Erangel, Livik and Miramar maps.
Players can pass through the quicksand path to enter the Emperor Temple. This will activate the dormant Ancient Secret to move the Sand Giant around with the Ancient Secret on its back. If players are able to defeat the monster inside the temple, they will be able to get new loot, however, this feature is available only in Erangel.
BLACKPINK collaboration
The much awaited BLACKPINK collaboration is finally here. It was teased before by the developers and today, an announcement was made regarding the virtual concert by BLACKPINK that takes place on these dates
- Debut Period: 22/7- 24/7
- Return Period: 29/7-31/7
Ultimate Arena
The ultimate arena mode will be available in the PUBG Mobile 2.1 update where players can enjoy a tense and exciting multi-round battles. This mode will feature different rounds that takes place on different maps. Players can use the riot shields to protect themselves as this mode will be added on 11th August in Erangel and Livik.

Cheer Park
The developers have added more shooting range options such as the mid-range shooting range, sniper shooting range etc. A new crate has been added that allows players to try rare sets in the battlegrounds. Apart from that, two beautiful and rare skyboxes will be introduced to the cheer park.
Chat Room
PUBG Mobile 2.1 update has added a friend invite and invite card feature that can help the players to invite friends and chat quickly simultaneously battling. The real time voice messaging feature will help in better communication amongst the players and hence will be extremely beneficial for eSports players.
Some other improvements such as weapon balancing and a new sniper rifle- Lynx AMR has been added to the battle-royale game. Players have to download the update themselves to know more about the new changes.
