To curb the incidents of hacking in eSports tournaments, Tencent has made a big move by making an official announcement that every player participating in the PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split 2022 (PMCO Spring Spit 2022) will have to download and use an anti-hack tool to ensure a free and fair gaming environment.
With each passing year, the developers of the globally famous battle-royale title are making some big changes in the format of their eSports field as well as increasing the prize pool of major tournaments. Not only that, they have also taken some strict measures to put an end to the persistent issue of hackers in the game.
PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split 2022 players will have to download anti-hack tool
With several changes implemented in the eSports roadmap of this year, Tencent had opened the pre-registrations for PMCO Spring Split 2022 which will consist of amateur as well as semi-pro teams from around the world coming under a single arena and to battle for the champions trophy. For this year’s PMCO Spring Split 2022, teams will be selected from the following regions-
- PMCO North America
- PMCO South America
- PMCO Africa
- PMCO Middle East
- PMCO Asia
- PMCO Europe
The registrations which are ongoing are scheduled to conclude on April 13th following which the registered players can participate in the in-game qualifiers that are set to commence from April 21st. However, there’s a catch as it had been announced by the officials that every player should download the GameAC tool.
This anti-cheating too apparently detects the hacks used by any player or also alerts the players when any other team is teaming up. Tencent believes that this change is mandatory to ensure that the competition is hosted in a fair manner As it gets almost impossible to track every single player, this addition will be a necessary feature in the tournament.
The instances of hacking have possibilities to increase since the PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split 2022 is an open for all tournament which means a hacker might slip out from the eyes of the authorities. Another change that has been added this year that top teams from this tournament will not get a direct slot at PMPL.
Instead, they will get slots at PMNC (PUBG Mobile National Championship) and some other Regional Cups which will be the new stepping stones for PUBG Mobile Pro League.
