PUBG Mobile World Invitational: Main tournament and Afterparty
The mid season tournament of PUBG Mobile is back once again, this time with an increased prize pool and modified tournament format. This has led to fans looking forward for the matches as they will be able to witness teams having even more competition than the previous year.
World Invitational is an annual tournament hosted by Krafton and Tencent Games in collaboration with Gamers8 and ESL. This tournament has its own specialty as half of the match’s earnings are donated to charity. Without further ado, let us now look at the details of this year’s participating teams and format.

PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 details
The first global level tournament this year, PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 is going to commence from August 11th taking place for three days. As announced by director of the battle-royale game’s eSports James Yang, a prize pool of $# million USD has been kept for the players.
Teams from SEA, South Asia, Middle East, Americas and Europe will be heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as the place has been chosen for the LAN event. The teams participating at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational this year have been mentioned below-

Many new teams have joined the global tournament this year emphasizing the motive of grassroot level tournament promotion. These 18 teams have qualified from the league tournaments of their countries whereas Falcon Esports got an invite for being the host country.
It is important to note that these teams will be heading towards a second set of tournament named PUBG Mobile Afterparty Showdown which has been added this year for an increased competition. The Afterparty Showdown will take place from August 18th and the tournament will finally be wrapped up on 20th August. As of now, these teams are going directly towards the Showdown-

Five teams from the main tournament will be qualifying for the Afterparty Showdown whereas another regional and special invite will be given by Tencent. It is rumored that 7Sea Esports from India who became the champions of BGMI Showdown 2022 will be getting the special invite, but it is yet to be confirmed by Krafton.
