PUBG Mobile collaborates with Neon Genesis Evangelion

Tencent is soon going to push out the much awaited 2.0 update for its battle-royale game. Amidst this, the release date for PUBG Mobile x Evangelion collaboration has also been announced. This crossover was previously hinted by the developers when the pre patch notes were released.

With every new update, the developers are trying to add a special new mode in classic maps so that the battle-royale game could become more entertaining. After collaborating with Jujutsu Kaisen, Tencent is all set to bring an event with Neon Genesis Evangelion.

PUBG Mobile x Evangelion collaboration details

The upcoming update of the game has already fueled excitement among players not only because the beta version of Livik will finally end but the PUBG Mobile x Evangelion collaboration is also going to be released with the new patch. As its usually done, this new collaboration will bring an exclusive mode in the classic maps of Erangel and Livik.

As per the announcement, the PUBG Mobile x Evangelion collaboration is going to be released on 14th May. Therefore, it can be expected that the 2.0 update could also be released during the same time. For those who are unaware, Evangelion or Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese animated series similar to Jujutsu Kaisen.

What will this collaboration bring?

The PUBG Mobile x Evangelion collaboration is going to bring an exclusive mode named Core Circle (The 6th Angel is coming). Upon entering the lobby, players will see a large prism floating above and space ships attacking it. Players can also board the helicopter placed at the middle but they won’t be able to ride on it.

The Core circle mode is restricted to 64 players only and will be available in Erangel and Livik map. It is important to note that the playzone will also be limited in a certain area. Special defensive fortresses will be kept at specific locations which will be destroyed by the prism shaped structure floating above.

Players can visit these areas to get a significant amount of supplies when the fortress is destroyed. Another attraction of this mode will be the Eva Unit 1 that will spawn in different locations to destroy the floating prism (6th Angel). For players who have seen this anime, it is certainly going to be a surreal experience.
