Team Soul and 7Sea Esports to represent India
PUBG Mobile eSports fans in the country got double surprises when it was revealed that two slots have been kept for India at the World Invitational tournament that is all set to commence in the upcoming month. We have already got the names of those two slot-winners, Team Soul and 7Sea Esports.
The honor of representing one’s country in the international level is certainly greater than all the honors received over lifetime and these two professional eSports teams were fortunate enough to claim that golden opportunity.

PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 to feature 2 Indian teams
The World Invitational tournament of Tencent’s battle-royale game is hosted every year with professional invited teams across different countries. It is a mid season tournament brought with the collaboration of Tencent and Krafton with Gamers8 and ESL. For the current year, a total of $3,000,000 USD prize pool has been kept for the players.
As the tournament hosted during the previous year did not consist of teams from India, Krafton made it sure to surprise their Indian fans by revealing that two Indian teams will be provided slots for the 2022 tournament. A slight change has been made for the tournament of this year as teams will compete in two different stages-
- Main tournament
- Afterparty
Initially, 18 teams will participate in the main tournament. Krafton has already announced the list of invited teams who got qualified from the Pro League tournaments in their country. Indian team, Team Soul who became the winner of Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series will be competing with the rest of the teams at the main tournament.
On the other hand, 7Sea Esports has got a direct invite to the Afterparty Showdown as they recently claimed victory at the BGMI Showdown which was the first official LAN event of Battlegrounds Mobile India hosted by Krafton. This team will be fighting head to head with other 4 teams at the Afterparty Showdown.
Fans will be keeping their eyes on these teams and cheering for them during the tournament. The qualified teams, on the other hand have started preparing for the strategies they will be adopting during the tournament.
