PUBG PC 17.2 update: B.Duck collaboration, 1vs1 Arena mode and more features announced
PUBG PC 17.1 update features
Krafton has rolled out the PUBG PC 17.2 update for PC and Console devices. The new patch has brought a collaboration content as well as added several new features that are going to make the battle-royale game a lot more interesting.
The frequent patches rolled out in PUBG PC has helping the game to retain its popularity after it recently became free-to-play for all the players. The patch notes for the May update are now available in the official website that provide the complete details regarding the new elements added in the game.

PUBG PC 17.2 update patch notes
Spotter Scope changes
The PUBG PC 17.2 update has introduced some improvements to the existing Spotter Scope in the game. These healthier changes have been made so that players can have a more enjoyable gameplay experience when they jump into the battlegrounds. These are the notable changes in Spotter Scope-
- The enemy detection range has been changed from 1000m → 600m.
- The white passive marker will NOT appear automatically in ADS mode.
Weapon Balances
Since the game mostly deals with weapons, the developers make changes to the weapon stats every now and then. For the upcoming update, the stats of these following weapons have been imporved-
MK12
As it was quite challenging to handle, the developers have worked to improve the recoil of this weapon and ensure its stability like other weapons such as Mini14.
- Increased recoil recovery
- Re-balanced the recoil related speed
Mini 14
The Mini14 continues to show steady selection rate due to its distinct traits, therefore, Krafton has improved the damage stats of this weapon.
- Damage 47 → 48
B. Duck collaboration
In the PUBG PC 17.2 update, players will be able to see an exclusive B.Duck collaboration. Players will find a giant duck floating in the waters of Sanhok, therefore, they should certainly visit the water bodies of this rainforest map. It is important to note that the ducks kept are just for decoration and they won’t attack the players.
Training Mode
New 1vs1 Arena
A new mode will be available in the Training section in PUBG PC 17.2 update which will let players to have a duel with their friends. THe 1vs1 Arena will be present in the Training mode where players can participate after interacting with the signboards that are placed at the ticket booth. Players can either spectate or enter the 1vs1 Arena to challenge others.
Map Teleportation
Another new feature is available at the Training section that helps the players to teleport around different corners of the map. Here is how to use the Map Teleportation feature-
- Open up the World Map to teleport within the training grounds.
- Clickable icons are shown on the map. Click on the icon of your choice and you’ll instantly find yourself at your destination.
Throwables Timer
Throwables such as Frag Grenades and Stun Grenades are an essential part of PUBG PC. Therefore, the developers have added a nade cooking timer UI in PUBG PC 17.2 update to let the players know about the exact time they should throw out the grenades. However, this feature won’t be available in the Ranked matches and eSports mode.
Item use in Driver’s Seat
One of the most interesting feature brought by PUBG PC 17.2 update is the feature where the player sitting at the driver’s seat will be able to use any healing item such as power drinks, bandages and Adrenaline Syringes. However, First Aid and Med Kits cannot be used. This feature is available for every vehicle including the boats.
