Competitive games are on the rise. Moreover, Valorant and its eSports scene are booming, and fans are tuning into VCT with millions of views! Furthermore, VCT 2024 has picked up pace, with each region competing within itself for a spot at Masters Madrid. After a long and arduous battle, Sentinels have finally qualified for the American Playoffs. Furthermore, the organization will not compete with LOUD, NRG, and Evil Geniuses!
The VCT Americas League, which started around 10 days ago, has completed its group-stage matches. And with the Play-Ins between Sentinels, MIBR, and G2 Esports now over, the upcoming VCT Americas Playoffs 2024 teams are out. It will be a great competition between some of the best Americas League teams out there. These teams have top-notch track records and a strong player composition!
Furthermore, Sentinels have made their way to the Playoffs after many hard-fought battles during this VCT 2024 season. Every player on the team, from Sacy to Tenz, performed and gave their best, and their hard work paid off. However, they have only scratched the tip of the iceberg as of yet. Although the Play-Ins matches were hard, the Playoffs are going to be a much harder ordeal.
Sentinels overall performance and VCT Americas 2024 run till now
Looking back at last year, VCT 2023 wasn’t rewarding to Senitnels. They were all over the place, the team dynamics weren’t set, and the team had no coordination. Furthermore, Sentinels had two IGL changes during the VCT 2023, and Marved tried his best to align the team but couldn’t. Additionally, the team has many holes which no one was playing any notice to. And thus, the VCT 2023 was a disaster for this renowned Americas team!
However, the Off-season was very eventful for Sentinels. They had many roster changes during the off-season and built a team with some of the great Valorant players. Moreover, after having many issues with IGLing, Sentinels got Johnqt, former M80 player, to join their roster as the IGL. Although this wasn’t the only roster change, this was definitely the most necessary one. All these off-season changes really made Sentinels strong, and they had ample time to get used to each other.
Now, with the team set in stone and everything set, Sentinels started their VCT Americas 2024 run! Although their initial match was against LOUD, one of the strongest contenders in the Americas League, they tried their best. However, due to a few flaws here and there, they couldn’t win the match. But that was their first debacle of the season, and they vowed to never repeat it again.
Right after this debacle, Sentinels fought against 100 Thieves. Although 100 Thieves is a great team, Sentinels have, time and time, bested them. And that’s what happened during their match. Sentinels rose victorious against them and qualified for their last deciding match of Group stages. Furthermore, this time, Sentinels had to face Leviatán. And Leviatán was strong this season with players like Aspas & C0M in it!
Their match was definitely a fierce one, and the first two maps were very nerve-racking. The first map, Split, went into the hands of Sentinels; however, Leviatán took the second map. Both maps were slightly one-sided, so fans were on the edge of their seats. However, Sentinels impressed everyone and won the third tiebreaker map with a score of 13-9! And with this, Sentinels progressed on to VCT Americas 2024 Play-ins!
Sentinels qualify for VCT Americas playoffs after a hard-fought battle against G2 and will now complete for the Masters Madrid vacant spot
The Group Stages of VCT Americas League 2024 is now over, and four teams will not compete for the two vacant Masters Madrid spots. Furthermore, after multiple fierce battles in Group Stages and Play-ins, Sentinels have qualified for VCT Americas Playoffs 2024! This victory comes after a lot of struggle and multiple battles of wits & skills. This season already looks like Sentinels’ redemption season!
The “team in red” will now fight three other really strong contenders for their spot at the Masters Madrid. Considering their performance in the VCT 2023 season, this is already a huge step up! Moreover, Sentinels will have intense competition against LOUD, NRG, and Evil Geniuses. Additionally, Sentinels’ first match is against NRG, the strongest seed of the Americas League this season.
Sentinels will have their match against NRG on 3rd March at 7:00 CST. This will be a really fierce match since the team losing straight up loses their chance to compete at Masters Madrid. Moreover, the team winning this match would go to the grand finals, and winning that would grant the team 3 Champions points. If readers aren’t aware of the points system, here’s the article on VCT 2024’s new format.
Currently, NRG is the strongest seed in the Americas League. The team has top-tier pro Valorant players like Demon1, Ethan, Crashies, Victor, and Marvel. For fans, this is the dream team, and Sentinels facing off against them would not be easy. Furthermore, if Sentinels win against NRG, they would have to face either LOUD or Evil Geniuses, both of which are really strong teams.
However, considering Sentinel’s performance during this VCT 2024 season, many unexpected things can happen during the upcoming match. Moreover, Sentinels have, at many times, proved how great of a team they are. This season, till now, has been great for Sentinels as a team; however, what the future may hold right now is something fans will get to know soon!
