While the gesture extended by Sentinels was well-received by fans, there is no denying the messy controversy that took place before his exit. ShahZam claimed that he was not informed that he had been removed from the Valorant roster for Sentinels for the 2023 season. Allegedly, the streamer found out from an article that he came across on livestream. Naturally, this was not very appreciated by the community, who believed ShahZam should have been treated better by the organization he had been part of for the past three years.

There may have been many controversies that he was unaware of about his contract expiring and him being not included in the 2023 Valorant roster and he found out about this with everybody else when the information leaked. On the other hand, the CEO of Sentinels claim that he had already told ShahZam that his contract will be expiring by the end of this year and he is free to look out for offers.

As for now, we have no information about what ShahZam will be doing whether you be joining a new team or not is still a mystery. he did tweet recently that he is open to both T1 and T2 team invitations.
