Skyesports Souvenir 2022 : Global eSports takes away the first ever VAL-CLASICO on LAN

Velocity Gaming vs Global Esports
The Skyesports Souvenir 2022 which is currently taking place in Mumbai as the first ever Valorant LAN event in India saw the clash of the titans in the form of Global eSports and Velocity Gaming.
The game went up to the third map just like the previous two games that took place before it. Though it became a bit anti-climactic in the end, there’s still much to talk about so let’s dive straight in!
Skyesports Souvenir Match 3 Post Match Analysis
The match ended in yet another 2-1 like the ones before showing that every team on the LAN stage is determined to win and set their dominance on LAN.
Map 1 : Haven
We saw Rossi on Chamber yet again which seemingly will become the go to for him as he keeps on practising the French agent and doing well in-game as well.
The agent picks were nothing out of the ordinary for the teams except for Rossi on the aggro sentinel role which does actually opens up the duelist spot which was filled by Lightningfast on the Raze who performed way better than he did yesterday on the Brazilian and Deathmaker on Jett who didn’t seem to care much about the Jett nerfs and went with the young Korean anyways.
As said yesterday, Global had to prepare well and prepare well they did. Though VLT did manage to take the first pistol round, they were unable to capitalise on the early advantage and the first half ended with GE in the lead.
As the second half came about, GE took away the pistol round with the newfound confidence from the first half and finished the game strong with a 13-8 victory while only giving three rounds to Velocity in the second half.
Map 2 : Ascent

Ascent was truly the ascension of gameplay that we have seen from both these teams. Velocity fought hard for the map and finally took it away from GE in the end.
Rossi returned on Jett and Lightningfast went to fill up the sentinel role with Killjoy which has been the running comp for them as they did the same thing yesterday against Enigma Gaming as well. Deathmaker was also seen sticking to the Korean and performing amazingly well with an Average Combat score of 242.
Though VLT did manage to take the first pistol round yet again, GE picked up a thrifty in the second round and continued their winstreak to the next 4 rounds after which, they didn’t get a single one in the first half making it 7-5 in VLT’s favour.
The next half came around GE managed to take the pistol as well as the bonus but then VLT strikes back in the full buy and the give and take begins which goes on to triple overtime finally taken away by Velocity gaming bringing te series up to a 1-1.
Map 3 : Bind

An absolutely ground breaking performance by GE in this map as they decimated VLT to a cracking 13-1.
Rossi returned to Chamber this time around while Deathmaker stayed true to the original duelist, Jett. It was KappA on Sova however who took the game away from Velocity Gaming as he put up a KDA of 18/3/5 while boasting an average combat score of a whopping 337.
GE took the pistol and the bonus and even though they lost the first full buy from VLT, they did not look over it much as they continued to win and not give away a single round after the third one.
With a sweet 35% Headshot percentage, KappA stole the spotlight away from Rossi who had been in it for long enough. Such a performance from KappA was long overdue and it feels good to see him back on his feet.
