EA released a new video titled “Coaching Sessions” in which Mark Hamill trains Cameron Monaghan (Cal Kestis) in the motion capture sessions for the video game sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In the video, Mark seems to be teaching the nook and cranny of the Force to Cameron. As fans of Star Wars know, becoming a successful Jedi Master requires wise guidance which Mark seem to be passing on to Cameron or Cal. Over the years, Luke Skywalker underwent training at Grand Master Yoda’s planet and became a Jedi Master himself. Afterwards, he passed it on to his on-screen apprentice Anakin Skywalker and later on to Rey in Rouge One.

The Jedi: Survivor game released today, and it already made some waves in the gaming community. It seems to make things even sweeter EA released a small ad that give us a sneak peek at behind the scenes. In the humorous ad Mark Hamill provides guidance to Cameron Monaghan in portraying a Jedi accurately. Since Jedi: Survivor utilizes full motion capture, Cameron’s performance is quite lifelike, which makes Mark’s advice even more valuable.

Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, follows the story of Cal Kestis, who survived Order 66 as a padawan, and is set in the aftermath of the prequel trilogy. Due to this Kestis spent years hiding his Jedi identity before being forced to reveal himself. Previously, in Fallen Order, we saw him search for a Holocron containing the names of Force-sensitive children targeted by the Empire. Additionally, the game is officially canon with the current Star Wars universe. Moreover, its popularity even resulted in fans being able to purchase Cal’s lightsaber hilt at Star Wars: Galaxy Edge.

EA Sports had exclusive rights to Star Wars games but most of the games they released were mostly hit-and-miss. Fortunately, Jedi: Fallen Order is a rare exception and a massive hit. Now over to Jedi: Survivors which expands Cal Kestis’s world and offers more exploration and missions. In the recently released promo video for the game, Mark Hamill seems to be having fun training Cameron Monaghan. Even though the ad is just a playful joke, but it’s great to see Hamill back in his element.

EA games have included accessibility options for all players in Jedi: Survivor. These are camera fine-tuning, auto-targeting, and navigation assist, as well as slow mode. It seems Jedi: Survivor may even surpass Fallen Order with so many new features added to the game.

Jedi: Survivor’s plot takes place years after Jedi: Fallen Order and shortly after the story of the tie-in novel Jedi: Battle Scars. It will be amazing to witness Cal fighting for his loved ones against the Darkside of the Empire.
