Team Liquid’s Jamppi opens up about potential return to CS:GO 5 months from now

Team Liquid’s Jamppi who was a CS:GO player before he made the switch to Valorant like many others. In a recent twitch clip, he was seen talking about returning to Valve’s tactical shooter.

The clip, which has now been deleted featured Jamppi being asked if he would return to CS:GO to which he said he would definitely want to and could make the switch as soon as October of this year.

Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen, who currentlu plays Valorant professionally for Team Liquid, and has been for the European Giants since February of 2021 ever since Valorant’s Competitive scene took hold.

He’s been playing with the roster since the formation of it and has been a major part of it if you go through the Vlogs that Team Liquid post on their YouTube Channel.

The IGL for Team Liquid recently was live on twitch and was asked if he would make a return to Valve’s tactical shooter, CS:GO, to which he said “100%, I will go back to CS at one point,”

In another clip that has been widely shared is one in which Jamppi was heard saying that the earliest he would return would be in October which coincidentally aligns with the end of the 2022 Valorant Champions Tour circuit.

If Jamppi does decide to make the move back from Valorant to CS:GO, he wouldn’t be the first one to do so. He would be following in the footsteps of Nicholas ‘nitr0’ Cannella who, after playing for 100 Thieves for 8 months, decided to return to his old CS:GO roster of Team Liquid where he was welcomed with open hands.

Jamppi was mostly known for his time at the Finnish Team, ENCE. He was unable to play the Valve title professionally due to a VAC ban he received back in 2015 when he was 14 years old.

He has been unbanned ever since after Valve released their blog post which mentioned that players who had had a VAC ban for a period of 5 years or more were then clear to participate in official CS:GO events.
