Annie Wersching, who played the role of Tess in “The Last of Us” game series passed away at the age of 45. She was reportedly suffering from cancer. However, the type of cancer has not been disclosed yet. Wersching was married to actor Stephen Full and had three children: Freddie, Ozzie, and Archie. Annie Wersching’s husband, Stephen Full, confirmed this unfortunate news to CNN.

He said,

“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. Annie found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for the adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere. As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye, my Buddie. ‘I love you, little family…'”

Annie Wersching was born in St. Louis Missouri. She started her career at the age of 24 with a 2002 episode of “Star Tek: Enterprise. She was later cast as the FBI special agent Renne Walker in the TV series, 24. Wersching was also well known for her role as Leslie Dean in Marvel’s Runaway. She also appeared on other shows like ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘The Rookie’, and ‘Star Trek: Picard’. Annie Wersching is also highly renowned for her great performance as Tess Servopoulos in the 2013 PlayStation game “The Last of Us”. Neil Druckmann,  co-creator of The Last of Us, expressed his sorrow over the passing of actress Annie Wersching on Twitter. Druckmann also shared a GoFundMe campaign supporting her family. As of now, GoFundMe has raised more than $135,000 USD raised of the $ 250,000 goal.

Druckman also shared some behind the scene photos from the ‘The Last of Us’ game.

Troy Baker, who played the role of Joel Miller in the game series, also honored the deceased. He shared some beautiful photos of him, Annie Wersching, and other ‘The Last of Us’ cast members. Tess, played by Annie Wersching, and Joel were very close in the game series.

Timeless co-star and friend Abigail Spencer posted on Instagram to share her grief and sorrow.
