“I could buy Hasan, Poki” : TrainwrecksTV boasts about huge profits from gambling streams

TrainwrecksTV and xQc have risen to become some of the biggest gambling streamers on Twitch right now, having signed lucrative deals with gambling companies.. However, the meta is facing a lot of heat right now owing to the effects it seems to have on creators and viewers alike. Twitch, therefore, was compelled to make a choice as a result of the situation’s growing legal uncertainty. It made the announcement that “unlicensed” gambling, which accounted for a sizable portion of the site’s controversy-driven complaints, would no longer be permitted on Twitch.

Tyler ‘TrainwrecksTV‘ has already been at the forefront of debates around gambling, and he recently disclosed just how immensely profitable these contracts have been for him. Tyler decided to tell fellow live streamer Pokelawl how much money he has made in about 16 months of sponsored gambling streams during a recent live stream while playing Overwatch 2. The entire amount was astonishing at $360 million, especially in the live streaming industry where multi-million dollar transactions are commonplace.

TrainwrecksTV boasted about how much money he had supposedly made through it, appearing to be a dig at streamers who supported the ban on gambling content. He said, “Here’s what I’ll do. Look, I got you, don’t trip. You want some news to forget about everything you are talking about? Here you go. I’ll release what I got paid since the beginning of my contract. I have been paid $360 million for 16 months of gambling.”

He then went ahead and took a dig at several streamers who have voiced their opinion against gambling streams, stating, “I could buy Hasan, Poki, Ludwig altogether and sell them and buy them again. F**king p**sies.”

He publicly addressed the startling number on Twitter, but it didn’t appear as if it was taken seriously.

In light of the recent gambling controversy involving ItsSliker, Twitch removed the subscribe option from their website. Sliker has been accused of defrauding viewers and other streamers multiple times in recent weeks. Earlier last month, he even admitted to his wrongdoings. Both Twitch and YouTube’s prominent creators, including some who were defrauded by the broadcaster, have voiced their opinions on the subject, making it a hot topic on both platforms. While most streamers believe that Sliker should be banned from the platform for his actions, others believe that banning gambling on Twitch altogether is the need of the hour. TrainwrecksTV, as can be understood, is not in favor of the latter motion.

Fellow gambling streamer xQc, however, joined hands with Ludwig to return the money to all victims of Sliker, a sum that came close to about $250,000.

TrainwrecksTV dissatisfied with Twitch’s update on gambling streams

Twitch has officially amended its Community Guidelines in light of the company’s recent decision to prohibit gambling streams. The announcement of Twitch’s illegal gambling prohibition left many streamers and viewers with unanswered questions. Other than prohibiting sites like Stake.com, Rollbit.com, Duelbits.com, and Roobet.com, no specifics concerning the prohibition were provided. Furthermore, the statement contained a great deal of vagueness, which some worried would provide for loopholes.

Although the amendment to official standards was always intended to disclose specifics about the nature of the ban, some Twitch fans may be disappointed with what Twitch has provided.
