“I don’t think funding is relevant here,” Trainwreckstv provides insight into how Adin Ross and other Kick streamers earn
Trainwreckstv sat down in an interview with Jake Lucky to explain how Kick is a more profitable platform.

In a recent interview with eSports journalist Jake Lucky, Adin Ross, and fellow streamer Trainwreckstv sat down to answer some questions about Kick. “How well funded is Kick?” Jake Lucky presented the question of funding after stating that Mixer could not do what Kick is currently doing.
“I don’t think it’s about funding. Microsoft and Mixer were very well funded. So funding isn’t the correct question here. The correct question is greed.” Trainwreckstv stated as an answer to Jake. The former went on to explain how fans are under this false assumption that sub-splits come from the platform.

“Sub revenue is a win-win. Creators bring revenue from their communities from other platforms.” He further explained, clearing up how sub-revenue is misinterpreted by a lot of people. “A platform can run properly and break even if they set up a plan where the CCDs from creators moving over are properly converted to advertising and sponsors,” Trainwreckstv claimed, explaining how advertising and sponsors can help platforms earn more if executed properly.
Why Adin Ross and Trainwreckstv moved to Kick

Adin Ross recently started exclusively streaming on Kick after joining Kick on a multi-million dollar deal. He has stated on record that Adin’s deal with Kick is “the biggest streaming deal of any creator.” Not soon after joining Kick, Adin received a ban on his Twitch channel for violating community guidelines.
Adin Ross has since been promoting and marketing Kick as a better alternative to other streaming platforms. Since joining, Adin has constantly claimed that Kick is a more financially lucrative platform. He has also tried to convince other streamers to join the platform with him.
Trainwreckstv was another popular streamer who made the switch to Kick. Trainwreckstv announced that he was moving to Kick in a tweet on December 5th, 2022. He stated that the reason he was making the move was that Kick provided a more viable platform for him. He explained how Kick provided a 95% to 5% subscriber revenue split, 100% platform tips for streamers, and “fair TOS (terms of service)” for content creators.
