Streamers getting a burst of followers isn’t that uncommon in the streaming community. However, it can be a great deal if they take the top-ranking spot right away. Earlier this year, Kai Cenat’s popularity rose by leaps & bounds. The streamer even received a Stream of the Year award for it. He recently amassed a subscriber count of 100,000 too. Furthermore, another Twitch streamer, AriGameplays, has taken the top spot and dethroned Amouranth to become the second most popular female streamer.

Amouranth has been in quite a few controversies recently. The OnlyFans actress & Twitch streamer announced her move to the streaming platform Kick in June right behind xQc. The streamer has many times risked bans on Twitch and even slammed Twitch’s business model. Moreover, Amouranth, with her 6.40 Million followers on Twitch, was right behind Pokimane, the most follower Twitch streamer. However, the OnlyFans actress has been kicked off her second spot due to her infrequent streams on both the platforms, Twitch & Kick.

And in her stead, AriGameplays has now occupied the spot. Furthermore, the current shift in Twitch hierarchy has crowned AriGameplays, with her Twitch channel receiving an influx of followers as the second most followed female streamer. This has greatly shocked devoted Amouranth fans!

According to statistics from last month, the Mexican variety streamer passed Amouranth in terms of Twitch followers. She’s now right behind Pokimane; the current most followed female Twitch streamer. The previous three years have seen tremendous growth for AriGameplays. Furthermore, it appears that the popularity boom has finally sprouted the plant of success for her.

The current follower count that Pokimane holds is 9.35 Million, followed by AriGameplays with a follower count of 6.45 Million. Although the difference is significant, it’s quite amazing, considering Pokimane has been in the streaming industry for almost a decade now. Also, AriGameplays has now become the tenth most-followed streamer on the entirety of Twitch. Fans are guessing that Amouranth getting dethroned is probably due to haggling between Kick and Twitch. Additionally, the Twitch streams of the OnlyFans streamer are shorter than her Kick streams.

Seeing a new face on the always-dominated top ranking is a fresh change of pace for fans. Also, the recognition this Mexican streamer is getting after years of hard work is fulfilling to watch. Considering the difference between Amouranth and AriGameplays is not that high, fans speculate that the streamer will regain her position soon.
