Twitch Rivals Rust Team Battle: With big streamers like xQc, shroud, and Toast stepping in, this Twitch Rivals was predicted to be one of the biggest Twitch events of the year. Unfortunately, the event ended earlier than expected after the competitive integrity controversy.
Twitch Rivals Rust Team Battle Finished
The controversy started when the Spanish community stepped in and claimed that their region is not being respected enough. They also claimed the competition was unfair and that their region was being shown a “lack of respect”.
Twitch Rivals published a statement and announced the winners. They concluded the event by saying that the show would not be carrying on into Day Three and Team Disguised Toast would be awarded the $100,000 prize.

In the statement, they said, “Unfortunately, there will not be a Day 3 broadcast of the Twitch Rivals: Rust Team Battle, DisguisedToast v Alexby11. Teams have come to an amicable agreement. Team DisguisedToast takes home the win. Nemereth TV will be awarded the Kill Leader bonus, tallying 160 kills during the event. GGs to both teams. We thank all of the creators for their time and viewers for watching. Twitch Rivals aims to create groundbreaking events for creators in the spirit of competition and good sportsmanship We seek to showcase fun rivalries, but also bring communities across the globe together around games we all love. We’ve heard the community’s concerns and aim to: further clarify rules to prevent confusion, re-evaluate the format, and consider global event timings in the future. While this event did not end the way we hoped, we look forward to doing right by the Spain, LATAM, and NA communities in upcoming events – based on learnings from this event and feedback from the community.”
