Twitch streamer Jordan Fisher gets nominated for Grammys, can the singer turned streamer snag a music award ?

Everybody knows Jordan Fisher. Some people know him as an actor, for starring in hit films like the second part of Netflix’s ‘To all the boys’ series and Disney’s famous sitcom, ‘Liv and Maddie’. Some people also know Jordan as a gamer, who is the co-owner and member of ‘Complexity gaming’ an esports company, and also streams on Twitch, playing games like Apex Legends and Overwatch 2. Other than these amazing careers, he doesn’t stop there ! In addition to being all this, he is also a singer and musician. He has contributed his voice and skills to songs in almost all the movies he has worked in, on top of releasing a few albums of his own.

It is very fufilling to see someone so versatile getting recognition and fame in each of the fields they work in, as Jordan has been nominated for a Grammy award. His song, ‘Nobody likes u’ with Billie Eilish, from the movie ‘Turning Red’ has been nominated for the category ‘Best Song Written for Visual Media’. Jordan currently stands alongside music artists like Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga, while competing for his award. With more than 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify and his songs like ‘all about us’ garnering over 10 million views on YouTube.

Disney has played a huge part in Jordan Fisher’s career, whether it has been the voice acting he has done for numerous movies, or the songs he sang in them, including his remake of the popular Frozen song, “Do you wanna build a Snowman” and “True Love” for Liv and Maddie’s soundtrack. He is also immensely talented in instruments too, as his 80s r and b inspired all about us features him playing 6 instruments, including a guitar, bass, harmonica, piano, French horn and drums. A talent like this was bound to get recognized at the Grammys.
Jordan Fisher might make a comeback to VO in games
Fisher has also voiced his interest in doing voiceovers for characters in games. After the Grammy nomination, he reached out to Apex, Valorant and Overwatch to try and get the job. This won’t be the first time Fisher has done voice over for games either, as he is known for his VO of Matt in ‘Until Dawn’ who was one of the 8 playable characters of the game. The Grammy’s are going to be conducted on 6th February 2023, and it would be very interesting to see how it turns out, and whether the teens choice awards nominee makes it at the Grammys.
