“You guys believing this,” UFC octagon king Max Holloway reacts to his abhorrent character model in the upcoming UFC 5

The UFC octagon stand-up king, Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway, has made headlines once again. However this time around, it is not for his tremendous striking skills. Neither is it for his stand-up game. Rather, the UFC former featherweight champion has seen the brand new character face revealed in UFC 5, the latest edition of the UFC game series, and Max Holloway doesn’t seem the happiest.

After a 3 year wait, fans are hyped to materialize the gameplay they all have been waiting for. Many leaks have revealed this latest edition will improve the lack of authenticity that was prevalent in the four previous editions. The Hawaiian on the other hand, has turned the hearts of many UFC fans throughout his career. Known to be arguably the greatest striker in UFC history, his stats are quite the feat.

His latest bout came at the expense of the legendary Korean Zombie. The 5’11 had displayed an impressive performance as usual, as he retired Jung Chan Sung in the third round with a KO (knockout). Recently, UFC 5 released an exclusive first-look trailer showcasing all the new gameplay and features added. However, one update had the MMA community buzzed, especially the character model of the ‘Blessed’ featherweight king.

After images surfaced of Max Holloway’s character in the UFC 5 game, it sent waves to the MMA community. Despite all the new graphics and visuals, the publishers of the game seemed to have messed up in the making of Max Holloway’s character.

Fans were bombarding the Hawaiian with trolls as the leaked photo was quite laughable. The featherweight King himself however took it lightly as well. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to upload a side-by-side picture of himself and the leaked photo of his UFC 5 character. The ‘Blessed’ wrote under the picture “How you guys believing this”, with a laughing emoji.

This wouldn’t be the first time Max gave a negative critique of the game. Just recently a viral clip of Alex Volkanovski beating Max in gameplay footage had circulated amongst the MMA community. Max replied to the clip and gave it a rating of “A solid -100 out of 10”. On the other hand, Max Holloway is yet to have a new fight announced, with rumours of Alex Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway 4 in the making after an impressive performance in Max’s latest bout.
