Unrecord by Studio Drama wows the internet with ultra realistic gameplay footage

Unrecord is a hyper-realistic tactical FPS shooter game that recently got a 2-minute, 32-second gameplay footage trailer. But why call it a footage trailer? Because the game will offer its players something new: the POV of a camera mounted on the protagonist (Officer). This type of subgenre in the FPS universe is quite new, and with the help of new-generation graphics tools, it is sure to become a massive success.

Studio Drama, an indie studio from France, is making Unrecord, and it looks sublime. People have already embraced the concept of a police case-based tactical shooter that will dive deeply into the cops’ day-to-day work.

There are already a few other videos that have been circling around for a while of Unrecord. But yesterday’s trailer seemed to have shaken things up in the gaming community.

According to the developers, Studio Drama, Unrecord gamers may anticipate an engaging experience in a tactical shooter. It has challenging moral choices, complicated conversations, cutting-edge gaming elements, and an original shooting system. This game is a narrative-driven experience with a heavy emphasis on realism and immersion, rather than an RPG or loot-based game.

The inspirations behind the game

The developers also clarified that Unrecord will feel more like a detective novel than any FPS game. Players will get the chance to investigate several criminal cases and will meet various characters. Moreover, the plot of the game is the be-all and end-all. Apart from that, players can expect a variety of gameplay sequences and surprising storyline turns.

The game seems to take inspiration from games like Ready or Not and Firewatch. Ready or Not by Void Interactive is also a tactical shooter where SWAT teams go in, confront hostiles, and get the job done. Firewatch by Campo Santo is a single-player, first-person mystery shooting game. In it, gamers will be directed by the person on the other end of a radio.

Is Unrecord a Multiplayer game?

Judging by the footage trailer and the description the developers gave, this will be a single-player campaign game. Whether it will also have multiplayer options is still not clear.

When is the game releasing?

Unrecord by Studio Drama is only in its initial stage of testing, so there is no confirmation of when the game will release. One thing is for sure: players will have to wait a bit as it will not be releasing this year. According to the developers, they are still seeking publishers and investors for the completion of the game.

How the netizens reacted to the Unrecord trailer

In the video popular streamer Asmongold seems to be quite excited about the game. You can hear him say that he is eager to play the game upon its launch.

While Unrecord looks sublime some pointed out the blurry and intense jerking of the camera could trigger motion sickness. The studio has confirmed that they are working on the matter and will have an option for camera settings for the best gameplay experience.
