Rachel “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, better known by her online alias Valkyrae, is an American internet personality. Dubbed the “Queen of YouTube”, she has been the platform’s most-watched female streamer since 2020. Valkyrae is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch and YouTube. She got especially popular when she did Among us Streams with members of OfflineTV along with others such as Corpse Husband.
Clearly, she is popular enough among her fans who want to delve more into her life events, and hence she shares some during her streams while playing games.
She recently ran a live marathon on YouTube, playing three games including Jackbox, GTA, Valorant, and finally League of Legends. It was during this stream she shared multiple incidents about her life with the audience. Valkyrae celebrated New Year’s with her friends Lily, Disguised Toast, and others.
She had gone to Lilypichu’s house before the countdown. It was at this time she had taken an Uber and had a horrifying experience, given the Uber driver turned out to be an anti-mask, anti-vax person, who did not believe Covid-19 was real.
The Uber driver insisted on not wearing a mask, telling Rae, “Oh, by the way, I don’t wear a mask. You don’t have to wear your mask either.” She shared that while being scared of being in a place filled with people, she did not want to get into a row, and maintained her peace.
She also went on to tell that while she prefers a quiet ride, the entire 30-minute ride was filled with long talks from the driver even though she had her ‘quiet preferred’ mode on. It was an overall problematic experience for her and she ended up reporting the driver.
