The Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2022 has returned with a new format and schedule following the huge success of VCT 2021. This event led to the game growing massively amounts casual gamers.
Last year, Riot Games established the VCT, a year-long tournament that brought together the best players and teams from around the world to compete for the Champions trophy. Last year, Acend from the EMEA zone took home the title of Champions. VCT is back this year, bringing the top players and teams from around the world to compete in Valorant Esports. However, as the meta evolves and teams compete to stay on top of the leaderboard, the competition is predicted to get stronger.

Information about Valorant Champions Tour 2022 format and schedule
Riot Games has altered the tournament’s concept and structure to make it more engaging for both players and spectators. VCT featured three stages last year, Challengers, Masters, and Grandmasters. VCT 2022 will consist of only two stages, with the Champions taking place in September of this year.’
Teams will compete for the most Circuit Points in order to qualify for the ultimate international LAN competition. Teams will also fight for a spot in the Masters and a direct entry into the Champions.
The following is the current schedule for the VCT 2022:
VCT Stage 1:
- EMEA Challengers Open and Closed Qualifier: January 10 -January 16
- EMEA Challengers Main Event: February 11 January – March 27
- NA Challengers Open Qualifier: January 27 – January 30
- NA Challengers Main Event: February 11 – March 27
- BR Challengers Open and Closed Qualifiers: January 12 – January 23
- BR Challengers Main Event: February 12 January – March 2
- Masters One: April(date TBD)
VCT Stage 2:
- NA Challengers Open Qualifier: May 5 – May 8
- NA Challengers Closed Qualifier and Main Event: May 13 – June 26
- Masters Two: July
VCT Last Chance Qualifier: August(date TBD)
Valorant Champions: September(date TBD)
VCT 2022 will introduce new competition, with new rosters from throughout the globe, including EMEA, NA, Korea, Japan, and LATAM. The year-long tournament concludes in September, giving teams and other tournament organisers time to plan their events. This is said to help give exposure to more teams from around the world in the skill that they are good at. Which if you might have guessed is being the best player in their region or the world.
