Valorant’s ongoing Episode 5 Act 3 is set to come to an end in early January 2023, paving the way for a brand new phase to begin. Episode 5’s third Act began in mid-October and is set to conclude on January 10, with a new Act set to commence a few hours afterwards. The new Act, Episode 6 Act 1, is expected to bring many new features and updates to the game, including a new map and a return of the popular Split map to the map pool.
In addition to new maps, Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 will also include a new battlepass and weapon collection, as well as a new competitive queue that will reset players’ ranks. To determine their match-making rating and assign them a rank, players will need to complete five matches in the new queue. While Riot Games has not yet announced the patch notes or officially addressed the contents of the new Episode and Act, players can expect some exciting in-game changes, including adjustments to existing agents and maps, tactical changes, and new game modes.

Episode 5 has introduced a range of exciting features to the game over the past six months, including a new map, new modes, a new agent, three battlepasses filled with cosmetics, multiple skin collections, and major updates to popular agents and map meta. As the current Episode comes to a close, players can look forward to even more new content and changes in Episode 6.
Pre-patch maintenance periods for big content updates usually run for around four hours, while mid-act patches, which are typically smaller and include general agent updates, quality of life changes, and new weapon collections, do not require long maintenance periods. It is currently unclear how long the maintenance period will be for the transition from Episode 5 Act 3 to Episode 6 Act 1, but players can expect some downtime as the game prepares for the new patch deployment.
How to complete Battlepass quickly in Valorant?

The battlepass is a key feature of Valorant, providing players with a range of rewards and challenges to complete as they progress through the game. If you’re looking to complete your battlepass quickly, here are a few tips to help you get ahead:
- Play consistently: One of the best ways to complete your battlepass quickly is to play the game as often as you can. The more you play, the more XP you’ll earn, which will help you level up your battlepass faster.
- Focus on daily and weekly challenges: In addition to the main battlepass challenges, Valorant also offers daily and weekly challenges that can be completed for additional XP. These challenges are typically easier to complete than the main battlepass challenges, so be sure to prioritize them.
- Use your XP boosts: Valorant offers a variety of XP boosts that can be used to increase the amount of XP you earn. These boosts can be found in the battlepass or purchased through the in-game store.
- Play with friends: Playing with friends can be a great way to earn XP and complete challenges more quickly. Not only will you be able to work together to complete challenges, but you’ll also be able to earn XP for each other’s victories.
- Play in ranked matches: Ranked matches offer more XP than unranked matches, so if you’re looking to level up your battlepass quickly, focus on playing in ranked matches.
By following these tips, you should be able to complete your battlepass quickly and earn all of the rewards it has to offer. So go ahead and claim the Battlepass rewards before the end of Episode 5 Act 3.
