Omen is one of Valorant’s oldest agents, which developers added to the game’s beta phase. Moreover, like every other agent, Omen, too, has quite a deep lore. The story behind this controller agent, however, is always masked behind a veil of mystery. But that was until now, as Riot’s new cinematic has revealed a lot! Beyond here is spoiler territory if you haven’t watched the cinematic.

The cinematic showed many primary agents of Valorant, from Cypher to Sova and even the new Duelist ISO; however, the star of this cinematic was Omen. Omen has always been searching for the reason why he has a phantom & astral body, unlike other radiants. This has consistently indicated that something terrible has happened to him. Moreover, Omen’s voice lines have also stated the same over & over again. The recent cinematic has revealed the reason why. Before becoming radiant, Omen was a hired gun by Kingdom, the game’s most prominent corporation.

Furthermore, he was sent to assassinate a primary target, which the cinematic revealed to be none other than Sabine, a.k.a Viper! However, the assassination attempt failed, and Viper locked Omen in a chamber filled with radianite, which caused Omen to receive his phantom body and become radiant. Moreover, in the process, Omen forgot all his memories related to his past before the incident. This revelation from Riot Games has shocked the entire fan base, as Omen and every other agent are part of the Valorant protocol, a team led by Viper herself.

This cinematic finally revealed some of Omen’s past three years after the launch of Valorant. Fans weren’t expecting this revelation, which has become a significant shock. The next cinematic is believed to be much more interesting and packed with loads and loads of exciting game lore!
