Fracture Map ‘Revamped’ will be hitting the next Valorant Update soon

Valorant: Fracture map getting a rework

So recently in a TikTok video, Valorant’s level designer Jooe Lansford leaked news about the current ‘Fracture’ map in the game. The changes will be minor yet noticeable and are aimed to balance the map right now. There is no news on when to expect this but soon enough it will happen eventually with coming patch updates.

According to Lansford, Fracture has been a fan-favorite map in Valorant for about a year now. The post was originally published on TikTok on August 25 where he stated that several adjustments are currently being worked on. The overarching theme is some general improvements in quality of life across the map, which should strengthen the case for the A site.

The update on Fracture will be something that most tactical Valorant players will admire. The current Fracture map prefers to be a tough and unbalanced experience for most gamers as the A site lacks attacking and defending positions both. In contrast to the B-site which is ideal for defending the spike.

In order to make the dish central region the A site “more useful for assault and defence,” Lansford also suggested making some alterations there. Presently, it is difficult to manage the dish region close to A since, as long as the barrier collapses, attackers and defenders may squeeze the attacking players. Statistics during the Episode 5th and Act 1 according to Blitz.gg suggest that the pick rates of Breach and Chamber Agents have spiked dramatically when players end up in Fracture map.

Lansford also revealed how the Valorant graphics team earlier planned to flip the Neutral space to its head to balance out the distance and difficulty level of Fracture in both Site A and Site B. The Neutral space is the medium space between both the team’s spawn, it covers the ending of both the Team A and Team B map stretch. Lansford also said that the current map setting of Fracture pressurizes the defenders to push forward and capture the neutral space which on the contrary is easier for the attackers.

There is still a load of blueprint-rework remaining before rolling out the new Fracture map and there haven’t been any revelation about when to expect this new change. Let’s stay tuned with Riot Games updates and leaks for further information about this map. Meanwhile you can check out the new leaks of Mage’s abilities aka Varun Batra: the new Agent.
