How to execute Harbor’s wall on Ascent in Valorant?

Harbor

With the release of Harbor in Episode 5 Act 3 in Valorant, the meta has exploded with new tips and tricks on how to master this new controller agent to get the maximum benefit out of his kit. Since Harbor joins the severely understaffed controller category, his natural game is more so on the defensive side, rather than taking on aggressive fragging or attack-based gameplay. As a supporting agent, Harbor is supposed to take up space in the map, making it more difficult for his enemies to move and in turn turning him into a nuisance to play against.

It is only natural therefore to try and learn Harbor as a method of taking up space since his utility allows him to aggressively take control of the site while his teammates a frigging out and making their entry into the site. His kit is also designed in the same way, allowing him to go for maximum immobility to create a problem for his opponents.

How to use Harbor’s High Tide on Ascent in Valorant?

High tide is Harbor’s bread and butter, allowing him to smoke off several chokepoints at once, making it difficult for opponents to hold off crucial angles and allowing better entry into sites. Two of these setups can completely cover up the entire site for an attack at both sites.

Site B Attack

Go to the corner of the building acting as the entry point, and line up High tide parallelly to the opposite down. Place and curve the wall, and almost all entry points to the site will be covered. This will primarily cover market doors and CT spawn, not allowing aggressive operator uses to take a peek, but forcing the enemy to play more cautiously and slowly, allowing for faster entry with all sites covered, and enply site to plant, which can be done safely using Harbor’s Cove.

Site A Attack

Completely cut off Site A defenders, line up your ability under the vent and use your cursor to cover up the heaven and doors. This will allow for all entry points into the site to be smoked off, therefore not allowing opponents to go for the kill while planting, and enabling teammates to push onto to the site as opposed to clearing each angle.

Harbor’s abilities if used properly can be a game-changer for most team compositions. Feel free to take Harbor out for a spin and try out these lineups that’ll add an onus to your game.
