Riot announces Give Back Bundle in Valorant, proceeds to go to charity
Ion Operator
It has only been a few days since the release of the Ion 2.0 gun skin line in Valorant, and fans are already going wild about the new collection. The Ion 2.0 boasted of the Vandal, a frenzy, spectre and an ares along with an Ion karambit. This time around though, Riot has decided to step up its game and announce a Give Back Bundle, stating that 50 percent of the profits from the sale of gun skins and 100 percent from the sale of cosmetic items such as gun buddies or players cards will be given back to the community in their attempt to help the underprivileged.
Recently, Valorant put up a community post on its Twitter account, where it made its intentions clear about the Give Back bundle. The Give Back bundle will not, however, feature any new skins. Rather, Riot will be bringing back a few of the community favorites to be provided over time. The concept of this event appears similar to the Run It Back collection at the end of every year, where the best and select skins in Valorant are brought back for the community to be taken up as a patched-up skin line compiling the fan- favourite skins.

Riot Games announces Give Back bundle in Valorant
Although the exact skins to be brought back have not yet been revealed yet, Riot’s latest tweet stated: “Vote for what you’d like to see in the Give Back // 2022 Bundle, where 50% of proceeds from weapon skins and 100% from accessories will go towards the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.“ This means that this time around, instead of Riot dropping the skins on their own, they will probably be allowing the community to vote for the skins that are brought back.
However, it appears highly unlikely that Riot will open up the floodgates for its skin collections to the general public just for the sake of doing good to the community. Rather, it appears more likely that Riot will probably provide a few options out of which the community might have to choose a few guns. Although Riot has not confirmed the mechanics of their arrangement, details regarding it can be expected soon.
Getting the skins of their choice has always been favored by the community, and this time around, Valorant has taken the incentive to give back to the community in its own way. It will be exciting to find out which skins Riot bring back in the Give Back Collection.
