Valorant has been Riot Games’ greatest success. The game is now three years old, and its player base has increased rapidly over the years. The rapid increase in the player base has beaten almost every other competitive shooter title in the gaming industry. The major takeaway of Valorant is the game’s unique tactical gameplay and playable characters called agents. Valorant’s agent roster is increasing further, with a new agent named Deadlock.
Riot Games’ largest success is League of Legends, and the company dipped its hand into the competitive shooter genre in 2020. And sure enough, it was a success for the company. Riot Games is based on Valorant’s unique characteristics in League of Legends. They took inspiration from the LOL’s huge pool of playable characters and molded Valorant’s agents’ concept based on that. However, most of the game’s agents are unique and fun to play. Also, Riot Games constantly adds new agents to their games following every new season.
During the latest Dev Diaries at Riot Games, the devs teased many upcoming new things coming to Valorant. Moreover, all these new contents would make their way to the game at the start of Episode 7. These new additions include a brand new Team Deathmatch game mode, a new currency system, previous battle pass items, and, especially, a new agent. These upcoming changes have hyped the player base up.

A new teaser for the upcoming agent teases the fan base

In a recent tweet from Valorant, the company has teased the player base even further. They have released another teaser for the upcoming agent. As former leaks suggested, the new upcoming agent’s name is going to be Deadlock, and she is going to be part of the sentinel class in Valorant. Devs in the latest Valorant Dev Diaries revealed tiny bits of details on the upcoming agents with a tweet featuring an image of what seemed to be the agent’s work desk. And since then, they have been teasing fans with short 15-20 sec teasers.
In the recent tweet, Cypher is seen to be operating some documents, and some potential images pop up. Also, the upcoming agent is rumored to be a female agent and might have abilities related to hacking or controlling opponents’ abilities. Hence, fans are speculating that the face of the new agent is the female picture that appeared for a short while on the screen. Details haven’t been made available, so it’s all up to speculation right now.
The developers have announced that they’ll reveal the agent during the VCT Masters Grand Finals show match. So fans will know more about the new Valorant agent, Deadlock, sometime soon since the Masters Tokyo 2023 Grand Finals are just around the corner. So, fans should be on the lookout for any future updates.
