Skyesports Champions Series 2022 commences today
After hosting the first Valorant LAN tournament in Mumbai, Skyesports has moved to Chennai and gave a warm traditional welcome to the players who are all set to compete in the upcoming Skyesports Champions Series, a Valorant tournament that has reached its playoffs stage.
After exhilarating Phases 1 and 2 of the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) – a road to VCT 2022 event – which saw thousands of teams from across South Asia competing, only six are left in the SCS playoffs. This article covers all the details regarding the tournament.
Valorant: Skyesports Champions Series Playoffs details
The SCS Playoffs will take place from May 31 to June 5 with six of South Asia’s best VALORANT teams locking horns for the coveted title of South Asian champions and a share of the $30,000 prize pool. Adding to the stakes, the top two from the SCS will carry the region’s name in the VCT APAC Challengers Stage 2.
The SCS is set to be a spectacle like no other and is happening in Chennai, India on a grand stage in front of a live audience. Skyesports gave a traditional and cultural welcome to the teams as they arrived in the capital of Tamil Nadu and also set up billboards across the city to hype up the audience.
Apart from that, to accentuate the fanfare, Skyesports has partnered up with Global Esports to bring an official music video for their ongoing tournament, Skyesports Champions Series 2022. The music video named ‘South Asia Arise’ features some popular Valorant stars such as SkRossi, Deathmaker and others.
The SCS is presented by semiconductor manufacturer AMD. India’s leading game streaming platform, Rooter, is powering the event.
Format
They will compete in a double-elimination bracket to decide the winners. All matches will be the best-of-three games, except for the grand finals, which will be a best-of-five. Enigma Gaming and Orangutan, who topped the Group A and Group B tables, respectively, have received a bye to the second round of the playoffs.

Where to watch
The Skyesports Champions Series 2022 will commence from today and Valorant fans can catch the action live from the comfort of their homes as well. All matches will be livestreamed on the Skyesports YouTube channel and the Skyesports Rooter channel in six languages, which are English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali.
