The Guard set to re-sign professional Valorant player TrentFPS

The Guard

The Valorant rosters for the upcoming VCT 2023 appear to be coming along quite smoothly for some teams, while others have been struggling to get a hang of things. Several teams are yet to reveal their complete rosters, and with the deadline inching ever so closer, teams are finally trying to lock in their playing rosters ahead of the championship.

The preseason has seen several surprising transfers, with El Diablo choosing to join the Cloud9 roster and the not-too-surprising Sentinels adding ShahZam into their hall of fame. Cryocells has joined 100T, with Sam searching for a way out, and overall has been a wild window so far, Optic Gaming even reaching the point of dissolution.

However, amidst all this chaos, The Guard is stealthily on their way to building a strong squad, by re-signing TrentFPS in their main roster once again. The deadline for the partnered teams to register their roster is the 31st of October. The Valorant Challengers tournament is scheduled to begin next year in February, and teams are gearing up once again.

Trent is best known for playing the initiator main, picking up Sova, and wreaking havoc in the opponent team composition. There are very few Sova players like him with the exception of AverageJonas, although he has been known to be flexible. He can pick up a Fade and KAY/O and deal equal damage to the enemies, making him one of the most formidable initiators to come across in tournaments in general.

100T announce their roster for VCT 2023

100T has gone ahead and revealed their entire roster for the upcoming VCT 2023, although they are yet to add their sixth player. The current 100T roster appears like:

  • Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk
  • Derrek “Derrek” Ha
  • Brenden “stellar” McGrath
  • Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban
  • Sean “bang” Bezerra

With Seangares stepping down as the head coach to pursue content creation, Mikes will be taking up the role of the new head coach. 100T have retained most of their roster, with Cryocells being the only notable signing to replace Sam who is not an inactive member and searching for a different franchise.

Overall, the VCT has been shaping up amiably for the next tournament. The new season is scheduled to begin on, and 100T led by Asuna will be one of the forces to be reckoned with in the tournament.
