The Guard neT explains why he shuts its all social medias

Michael Bernet aka “neT” is a Valorant professional player and plays for The Guard. The Guard is from the NA region and they are the champions of the North American Challenger’s 2022, and qualified for the Valorant Masters Iceland.

On April 16 they lost their match against Paper Rex in a lower bracket round of the playoffs and were sent home back to America. After winning the NA challenger by defeating one of the strongest in their region, they are looking strong for the Masters, but they failed to win both matches and were eliminated from the tournament.

After losing to the Paper Rex and getting eliminated from the tournament, one of the players of the Guard team neT family got the abusive messages and threats on their social handles. He also shuts all his social media and he explains why he does it.

“I can’t believe I need to make my socials private again because you guys getting so mad over a video game,” he wrote. “I understand I made a misplay. It doesn’t justify messaging my family and spamming all my private socials.”

As you know The Guard is the newest made team and this is the first of their LAN event on the world stage, neT never expected this after loos fans’ reaction which is truly unacceptable for any esports athlete.

He said: “I cannot reiterate enough how messaging my family members or showing people in my private life hate is not ok.”

As a highly rated team because they won the NA challengers The Guard sure disappointed their fans somehow and after this esports pros received hate messages on social handles which is not a good act. the neT was forced to lock his social media accounts after this incident he said it seriously needs to stop and neT posted a note on April 16 and then he private the note.
