Valorant set to make UI changes in Patch 5.10

Valorant set to make UI changes in Patch 5.10

Valorant Patch 5.09

In the latest update of Episode 5 Act 3, Valorant incorporated a number of changes to the UI design, almost completely overhauling the aesthetics of the game. With several changes coming in hard and fast, Valorant developers have promised to resolve all the glitches as well as tweak certain agents’ abilities to make them more viable in the upcoming meta.

However, the changes in the UI have not been sitting well with the fans, especially since it has made the game unnecessarily glitchy and is not as user-friendly as the previous interface. Riot has reacted to this, and the developers have promised to revert some of the changes and improve upon the existing UI in the next Patch 5.10.

In a recent post, Riot put out the following statement:

“Hey everyone, we appreciate all the feedback in this thread and throughout social—keep it coming. The team wanted to send out a quick reminder that these initial changes in Patch 5.08 were the first step in an iterative process more information on that here! that looks to you first for where to take it next. What we are seeing is that maybe the updated navigation scheme adds a few more steps than you’d like. For now, we are planning on a change for Patch 5.10 that will restore most of the more convenient one-click access to menus around the game until we can work to build the best long-term navigation update. Again, keep telling us what you think—we’re listening!”

This means that a change in the upcoming patch has been guaranteed by the developers, who have promised to make the game more accessible with an interface that is more convenient to navigate within the game.

Valorant patch 5.09 notes: Changes to Skye’s seekers, agents’ abilities and much more

Valorant patch 5.09

In the recently released patch 5.09, Valorant has incorporated the following changes:

  • Fixed a bug where Harbor’s Cascade would sometimes disappear when looking away from it (hotfixed during 5.08 patch cycle).
  • Fixed a bug where walking through Harbor’s Cove barrier was not blinding players at the intended distance (hotfixed during 5.08 patch cycle).
  • Fixed a bug where Harbor’s High Tide would have large gaps when cast in specific map locations.
  • Fixed a bug where Harbor’s Reckoning’s geysers would not spawn on the area where the player was standing.
  • Throughout this year, we’ve been periodically making improvements to Skye’s Seekers so that they more reliably and efficiently reach their target.
  • Small changes were made to how Skye’s Seekers navigate around obstacles after they’ve visually acquired their target.
  • If the target is intangible when the Seekers reach them, it will not debuff them. This includes Reyna while she is Dismissed and Yoru in Dimensional Drift.
  • Fixed an issue where Yoru would still enter his stealth and intangible state if he was detained while casting Dimensional Drift. The detain now properly interrupts the cast.
  • Fixed an issue where Fade could activate her Haunt and Seize projectiles to make them drop while she was Suppressed.
  • Fixed an issue where Reyna would auto-heal after a kill while in Empress even though she was Suppressed.
  • Fixed an issue where Sage could instantly break her Barrier by walling herself into a corner.

It will be interesting to find out the changes that Valorant incorporates within the game to make it more accessible and user-friendly once again. The community will be pleased to find out about the one-click menus returning to the game very soon.
