According to Danny Intel on Twitter, VALORANT Mobile has started its first-ever playtest in China. Interestingly, some images from the testing surfaced online, which include the loading screen, agent select screen, lobby, and one screenshot from the Ascent Map.

Valorant has swiftly risen to the top of the PC shooter rankings in 2022, but Riot Games isn’t done yet. For gamers who prefer to fit in a five-versus-five game on the go, the company plans to release a smartphone version. 

As players wait for more information from Riot, there is a lot of speculation. More information will most certainly be released soon but for the time being, only the leaked images and gameplay can tell so much about the possibilities.

Valorant Mobile is expected to be released in the second half of 2022 or early 2023. The specific release date is unknown, but it is presently in development, according to Riot Games’ Anna Donlon. The mobile version, according to the executive producer, should be ready in the second full year, which is 2022.

After the massive success of Valorant on PC, Riot announced plans to bring the game to mobile during its one-year anniversary in 2021. Since then, fans have eagerly been waiting for updates on the mobile game. The leaked China tests are the first players have seen on the game’s progress so far.

The photos show the game’s loading screen, in-game interface, home screen, and character selection. While the images are reminiscent of VALORANT’s PC version, there are a few significant changes for the mobile platform. There will surely be more to know about the upcoming version of the popular game.
