Patch Update 5.04 brings new game mode HURM, crosshair customization options and many more

Riot Games is on the verge of rolling out the 5.04 patch update for Valorant and finally, we get to see some long-awaited changes, additions and reductions too. The new 5.04 patch promises the introduction of the new Champions 2022 skin line along with some freebies which you can claim from the Champions 2022 Twitch Drops.

Also, this patch update is going for some repair works too; especially with Yoru and Chamber. Patch 5.04 will significantly alter the present crosshair system, bringing new methods to adjust the targeting reticle, including a unique color selection option and the ability to instantaneously clone a teammate’s crosshair. In other news, the project has been completely converted to Unreal Engine 4.26 which is a massive upgrade.

First things first, the Valorant Champions 2022 skin line is gonna make its way with the massive update. New premium exclusive skin worth VP 6,167 for Phantom, pistols and melee weapons. This exclusive skin bundle also brings in some freebies and cosmetics like the Fire Title (Aug 31 to Sep 13), Champions Curse Spray (Sep 16 to 17) and VCT Champions player card (Finals on Sep 18) is completely free and can be claimed from the Twitch Drops while enjoying the 2022 Championship!

The patch will also fix a bug where Chamber’s trademarks were not knifeable as well as Yoru’s Gatecrash bug when it leaves the floor spots on some randomized incorrect locations. Agents may be nerfed and buffed but the one thing which is for sure is that this time Riot Games is bringing in an entirely new game mode: HURM.

So, the HURM game mode imitates a normal Valorant FPS TDM with added competitiveness in it. In this mode, the TDM however will be amongst the agents whose abilities will be pre-triggered, and the first team to score 100 kills will win. An interesting game mode which might require some more patch updates to make it absolutely flawless for gamers who love to ace the kill leaderboards.

Moving on to the gameplay settings, the new 5.04 patch update is going to tweak the reticle/crosshair settings. Now the players can choose custom colors (hex codes) for their reticles and the horizontal and vertical crosshair lines can now be customized separately. The number of crosshair profiles will also be increased from 10 to 15.

Another big update would be again from the gameplay and UI settings, this time Riot Games will introduce a new option called the “Avoid Player” list. So now you can add the players to this list with whom you do not want to team up and play; however, this list doesn’t confirm a perfect 100 percent chance to dodge the matchmaking and will most likely be effective for only a few days after you add the player. More news related to the 5.04 patch update and the efficiency of the Avoid Players List is yet to be released.
