Valorant Split Changes: Valorant has already stepped into the new Act, with a new agent in line, and of course new skins and battlepass.  It has also released a whole new patch with the updates, and even some major changes for maps. The split map is finally back in the mix, but with several changes for players to change the gameplay.

The article talks about the upcoming changes coming in Valorant Breeze that have been mentioned in patch 6.0. There have been official before and after images for the same.

The popular game has had a successful year, but more so, it has seen several inclusions. The new act is not only bringing changes, but also a brand new map. Valorant had already teased the new upcoming map multiple times through the battlepass of this act, the night market banner, and much more.

Finally, the developers have also released the trailers for the new map beside Split in the official windows. Split was out of the mix for the past episode due to the new patch adding.

These are the following changes that have been seen according to official images posted by valorant. Most of these will affect the gameplay of both teams by a huge measure, and players should look forward to a new experience.

  • A Main
    • First engagement area for Attackers has been widened and a small ledge added for mixups.
  • A Main Box
    • Boost box next to the orb has been reduced to give Attackers a new position looking into A site.
  • A Rafters
    • The under-over area has been removed, making this much easier to deal with as an Attacker.
  • A Tower
    • The back section of the Tower has been flattened to make the fight to Ramps easier for both teams.
  • Mid Bottom
    • Players can now silently drop down Mid platform.
    • The trick-jump up onto Mid box has also been removed for simplicity.
  • B Tower
    • Defender side jump up box has been removed to simplify the space.
  • B Rope Pocket
    • The hard corner here has been smoothed out to make clearing the spot easier.

Players are opinionated towards the changes Split has faced, although most agree the map has changed fairly for the attacker side. Split received extensive changes after it was removed from the Competitive and Unrated queues in Episode 5 Act I. The map has made its return finally today in the map mix.

The map changes have removed a fair share of defenders’ advantages, giving attackers more alternatives to approach parts of the map. Players should see a bigger focus on age imbalance you should be seeing updates to various agents across the board throughout the first six months of the year.
