Riot Games has organized another exciting season of Valorant eSports with the VCT Pacific 2024 in full swing. Many top teams of the Pacific region are taking each other on to earn a spot in the world championship. The 11 teams playing in the VCT Pacific 2024 Kickoff are going head-to-head to earn a place in the VCT Masters Madrid tournament.
Global eSports and Bleed eSports were two teams facing each other in the Group A elimination match. Global eSports had a disappointing showing in 2023. The team has returned this year with a newly formed roster. While they did show a lot of potential, the team still needs a lot of work to stand a chance to qualify for VCT Masters Madrid.
This match also marked the return of popular Valorant pro yay, du’bed ‘El D’ablo’, who had joined the roster and was playing professional Valorant for the first time after June 2023. Going into the match, Bleed was considered the heavy favourite, with their fans even expecting the team to sweep Global eSports in the elimination match.
BLEED Esports vows to bounce back after their loss at VCT Pacific 2024
These teams faced each other in the Skyesports SEA Championship only three months prior. Bleed eSports won 2-0 in a best-of-3 series. Fans were expecting no different results this year, either. However, that was not how things ended. The underdogs came out on top, with Global eSports eliminating BLEED with a score of 2-1.
This eliminated BLEED eSports from the VCT Pacific 2024, which meant they lost their chance to qualify for the VCT Madrid Masters. The organization posted about their loss on Twitter. BLEED said they had fought hard. However, it simply was not their day. They needed some time to gather themselves and regroup.
BLEED eSports thanked their fans for supporting and cheering them on during their VCT Pacific Kickoff debut and promised their fans they would surely bounce back the next time they play in a competitive tournament.
