When can fans expect Split to return in Valorant

Split

Split has been long gone from the competitive meta in Valorant. However, if rumors are to be believed, then this map is set for a return in the near future. This is due to the fact that fans have speculated the return of this map, despite it being removed from the competitive meta in the recent past. The devs had provided the reasoning that it was to remove the cluttering of the maps, but the return so soon is bound to raise a few questions.

This update comes specifically after the launch of the Ion 2.0 bundle that showcased itself on the Split map. The initial fan excitement and the reaction were high with anticipation, as fans considered this as an opportunity to find out if this map was indeed making a return into the competitive meta. With several nooks and corners in the map, this is one of the shortest maps in the game that is extremely cluttered, making it fun for information gathering and close combat agents.

Although nothing official has been revealed by the developers, several channels, including the official Twitter page of Valorant Brazil as well as Spain have acknowledged the return of this map that had brought on serious speculation about the matchmaking and the game in general. There is also the tournament stage being taken care of, although nothing definite has been presented yet, and it is in the alpha stage.

Episode 6 Act 1 is supposed to have the return of the map, as confirmed by these pages. The devs have been silent about its return, probably preparing a launch teaser, however, the game is going to take a turn in case this map makes its return ahead of VCT 2023, which will compel the teams once again to re-adjust their tactics.
