The Last of Us franchise which roughly started a decade ago has been doing amazing and has dropped five titles in the past decade. The Last of Us will be having the busiest year this 2023 with two game title releases lined up. The most recent game, The Last of Us Part 2, has become the community favorite.

Starting from 2013, the Last of Us has already dropped 5 titles which are The Last of Us (2013), The Last of Us Remastered (2014), The Last of Us Part I (2022), The Last of Us: Left Behind (2014), and The Last of Us Part II (2020). The Last of Us has also announced a multiplayer title for this series which recently got a new concept image. This multiplayer game is expected to be released in 2023.

Since players love sequels the Last of Us continues to give them those. Since most of the players have already completed the part of the game they are curious about part 3. The next game which will be launched will be a multiplayer game. It is almost certain that it may not have a solid storyline which continues the journey of Joel and Ellie.

It is certain that The Last of Us Part 3 is not the next game in the series since the multiplayer spin-off is currently under work. However, this does not mean that there will not a part 3 of The Last of Us. It is certain that there will be The Last of Us part 3 as there are leaks which confirm that the script for part three is already finished. Furthermore, Part 2 of the game leaves a ton of questions unanswered, so another sequel will definitely be necessary to keep fans happy.

Over the time after the release of the Last of Us part 1, there have been several leaks and rumours about part 3 which hint that the game might be under development along with the multiplayer spin-off. There has been no official news regarding The Last of Us part 3 but everyone sees it coming.

There is also a Tv series adaptation of The Last of Us by HBO. It will premiere on Jan 15th 2023. The Last of Us Part 1 will be released on March 3, 2023, on PC following the release of the Multiplayer spin-off.
