Felix “xQc” Lengyel, former Overwatch star and prodigy-turned-full-time-content-creator is up yet again calling out Activision for something that for once, people all agree with.
The video game industry has come a long way – from the two player bars moving around hitting a ball in Pong to full fledged immersive worlds that could be confused for the real one in hundreds of AAA titles.
Not all changes that have come with time have been good though, a few were introduced by companies as innocent small priced DLCs that have now become whole parts of games without which the story of the game feels incomplete. Companies now charge a fortune for these extra content pieces that they make for their own games.
In a recent stream, xQc was talking about the games Activision Blizzard had been putting out and the Legacy Content that comes along with the games that you need to buy separately if you want to play it to its fullest extent. Speaking about this, he pointed out how expensive it would be to buy the game in its entirety.
“If I buy your game as a whole, it’s $800! for Legacy Content bro!” Lengyel was evidently very frustrated with the company taking such an approach towards its customers. He added, “It’s cool to not get everything in the game, the real problem is, the prices!“

He went on to point out that the game was one of the priciest items in the Steam Store and that too for Legacy Content which is basically maps and guns from older games of the franchise.
xQc’s frustration this time around was actually pretty reasonable considering how Activision has been increasing the prices every single time they release a new game and include microtransactions to further increase their profits by a margin that people can only think about.
