Political commentator HasanAbi is notorious for giving his hot takes that stir up much controversy on the internet. The Turkish-American was talking about his life as a streamer and compared it to more conventional jobs. His views on the matter have caused a lot of backlash for him. Many streamers, such as xQc, have also called him out for his views.
HasanAbi acknowledged that “real jobs” are highly gruesome. They can also make you highly tired. However, he believed that a real job does not “suck the soul out of a person.” In contrast, streaming continuously for nine hours will absolutely do that to you.
Considering the amount of controversy this caused, HasanAbi took to Twitter to explain his point of view. He claimed that the clip had been taken out of context. He meant that streaming for nine hours straight could eat away at your ‘social battery.’ He claimed that while he could still do physical labour after streaming, he did not have it in him to socialise.
xQc tells HasanAbi that he should try a sales job before comparing live streaming to real jobs
During a recent live stream, xQc saw the clip of HasanAbi claiming that streaming was harder than a real job while scrolling through his subreddit. He decided to check out the clip where HasanAbi claimed that a real job did not suck the soul out of you. xQc seemed immediately disgusted at this remark and told HasanAbi to try a sales job.
In the grand scheme of things, I would much prefer to sit here on my dumb a*s than f**king go out there and f**king deal with dumb a*s f**king customers or clients, or f**k a*s h*es, bosses, and s**t.
xQc on HasanAbi
xQc proposed matching Hasan Abi’s salary for a month, and the political commentator instead went out and got a sales job rather than streaming. The former Over watch pro further added that, in the grand scheme of things, he would prefer to sit on his chair and stream all day rather than have to deal with customers, clients, and bosses.
xQc further added that he wanted to tell HasanAbi to go and die. However, he immediately rescinded his words and apologised for his statements. He said that he “had flashbacks” and did not mean what he said. Furthermore, he forgot that he was streaming on Twitch and could not say things like that.
