YouTuber Keemstar refutes allegations of victim-blaming Amouranth, claims people are manipulating his views
Keemstar and Amouranth
American YouTuber Daniel M. Keem, widely known as ‘Keemstar’ found himself in hot waters recently after his take on Amouranth’s situation received huge backlash on the internet. The internet personality was compelled to delete his tweet and later clear up the mess by claiming he was not victim-blaming Amouranth.
Twitch streamer Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa left the internet in shock after revealing she is married and that her marriage is on the verge of downfall due to her abusive husband who apparently forced her to make hot tub videos and lie about her relationship status on social media.
Keemstar claims his views on Amouranth are being manipulated
The streamer saw instant support from her community as well as other content creators such as Pokimane, Valkyrae and Alinity who even sent police to her house to check on her well being. However, a part of the internet seemed to put all the blame on Kaitlyn, one of them was none other than the controversial personality ‘Keemstar‘.
In a now deleted tweet, the DramaAlert host claimed that even though he agrees that Amouranth’s husband is abusive, he holds the streamer equally responsible for scamming so many viewers for money on the internet, as she lied about her relationship status.
As an obvious fact, the tweet did not see any positive response. Instead, people heavily criticized Keemstar for his take on this shocking situation. Twitterati started a hate raid against him which forced him to take down the post and later come up with follow-up statements.
“I deleted the whole Amouranth thread too many people are making bad faith arguments. Manipulating what I said and straight lying. I also need to take some responsibility for not communicating my points better.”
The YouTuber who has previously drawn several controversies was back at it again as he seemed to cover up his previous statements by claiming that people are manipulating his views as well as lying. However, he also took charge of not being able to communicate his views properly.
In another tweet, he stated that he is not at all supportive of abusive marriage, neither he is victim-blaming Amouranth for the situation. Rather, he wishes to iterate that content creators should not scam their viewers for money. He made it clear that he would address further on the situation on ‘The Keemstar Show’.
