Pokimane disguises as a man playing Valorant
Pokimane pretended to be a man after talking up about the challenges she had communicating with other Valorant players as a woman in the past, and the result was extremely amusing. Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys told followers in August 2021 that climbing the ranks in Valorant was difficult for her because of how certain comrades react to her once they know she’s a woman or that she’s Pokimane.
It wasn’t the first time she’d spoken openly about the subject. Despite this, and despite the fact that her detractors didn’t believe she had it in her, Poki managed to reach Immortal, a rank only 1% of players achieve. Despite this, the Twitch star continues to suffer the same problems on a regular basis.

Pokimane made the most of the moment in game
On January 25, she decided to take action by having her buddy Kevin speak on the microphone for her, and the result was hilarious. She told him, for example, that if she’s pushing a bombsite, she’ll tell him to direct the squad over the microphone, and they’ll most likely comply. She was worried, though, that it wouldn’t work since Kevin is “too kind.”
The time has finally come. Instead of expecting him to yell orders, she just told him to say “hello.” He did, and a teammate answered, making her laugh out loud. Her admirers dubbed her a “genius.”
As amusing as it was to witness her trying to be a man in this situation, getting harassed by other players on the microphone because she is a woman is a genuine issue that she has dealt with in the past.
Unfortunately, it’s been the least of her issues in 2022 as well. She’s also had to deal with hate crimes, legal threats, and people attempting to make her appear “inappropriate” in videos, among other things.
