Although Cere does not possess the same force powers and combat stances as Cal, the fight will still rely on the player’s lightsaber skills, making it a fitting showdown for the classic villain’s return.

How to beat Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

To defeat Darth Vader, players will control Cere Junda, who possesses limited abilities compared to Cal Kestis. The fight takes place in three parts, with Vader becoming progressively more powerful in each stage. Players must master the timing of Vader’s attacks and stay close to him to attack and deplete his guard bar constantly.

First and foremost, players need to remember that Cere only has one lightsaber stance, so pattern memorization is crucial to winning the fight. In the first round, Cere must knock down the first third of Vader’s health bar by staying on him and relentlessly attacking while parrying his basic three-swing combo attack. It is essential to maintain proximity to Vader while being careful not to give him too much distance.

Cere must tackle the next third of Vader’s health bar in the second round. Players must focus on parrying his attacks and need to be careful when he begins to glow. Moreover, the challenge in this round is the addition of ranged attacks, with Vader using the Force to launch balls (projectiles) of flaming materials at Cere. To avoid these, players must follow the previous strategy and stay close to Vader to minimize his opportunities to hit Cere. One smart way to protect yourself is to create a forcefield around you which will block the projectiles as shown in the image. Additionally, this will allow players to dodge Vader’s attacks more efficiently and counter them with two-point combos.

Vader will now become more aggressive, upgrading his three-swing combo to a five-swing combo with two unblockable attacks. The player must prepare to parry and dodge his attacks and stay on the offensive. Additionally, Vader will attempt to Force pull Cere frequently to set her up for his attacks, making it essential to keep an eye on her position.
During the final portion of the battle, players should not get overconfident and should continue to dodge and counter Vader’s attacks. The projectiles will now have added flames, which can cause more damage. With enough persistence, players may stand a chance to defeat him.
