Tesla’s co-owner Elon Musk has completed the official takeover of Twitter, and he has already started making his moves. After sparking rumors of reversing lifetime bans, Musk is now planning to charge $20 a month to the verified accounts for retaining their ‘blue ticks’ on the platform.

As expected, this decision was not welcomed by the Twitter users, especially those with verified accounts. One of them was the popular author Stephen King, who is known for penning famous horror novels such as ‘IT’, ‘The Stand’ and others.

The acclaimed author was clearly dissatisfied with the new rules as he stated, “Fu*k that, they should pay me. If that gets instituted, I’m gone like Enron.” When one of the user commented that he should be able to afford it, the author wrote that it’s about the principles.

The tweet certainly didn’t go unnoticed as Elon Musk himself replied to the tweet claiming, “We need to pay the bills somehow! Twitter cannot rely entirely on advertisers.” He continued to ask whether they can negotiate on $8. This twitter thread was then continued by Dr DisRespect.

Herschel Guy Beahm

Herschel Guy Beahm whom the internet knows as ‘Dr DisRespect’ is a professional YouTube streamer who mostly showcases gameplay on Call of Duty and Apex Legends. Fans would rarely find him talking or addressing something other than ‘gaming’, but today they were surprised when he provided some invaluable advice to Elon Musk.

Continuing the blue tick payment discussion on Twitter, the streamer referring to himself as “the 2x” explained, “Allow face scan/retinal scan into a ‘blue check mode’ similar to iPhone unlock through face scan.” He further stated, “But in this case only while scan is active, a tweet is created alongside unique code coinciding with that instance.”

The streamer ended his advice by claiming, “Lets wake up… Elon”. It is quite clear from his explanation that he is providing an alternate solution to the verification of certain accounts on Twitter but Twitter users were quite bewildered by the suggestion. Nevertheless, a majority of users agreed that the interaction of these three personalities is quite interesting to witness.

While few people were completely puzzled as to what Dr DisRespect is suggesting to Elon Musk, some provided their own opinions on the issue claiming that they somehow agree with Doc.
