On his January 5 livestream, HasanAbi described about one of the YouTube channels from Vietnam who were allegedly buying and botting different channels on the platform, so that they can reupload the clips of popular streamers under their name. In addition to that, they were DMCAing other fan channels who uploaded content on these streamers.
The most watched Twitch streamer from US this year made an interesting discovery while streaming on the platform earlier today. At the 4-hour mark of his livestream, he showed a tweet to his audience from an account named ‘Pinely’. The tweet stated that a YouTube channel had posted the same video of HasanAbi, which he had uploaded, with the same title, and now the video is about to overtake the views gained on his channel.
“t does not also even f***ing mention Pinely’s channel or link it back to Pinely’s channel in the video“, Hasan was furious to know this while he made it clear that ‘HasanAbi compilations’ is not a part of HasanAbi Clips Industrial Complex. He later explained that this channel is purchasing a few bot channels to reupload the videos of prominent streamers.
In addition to that, the Vietnamese channel was placing a copyright strike against all the fan channels of the streamer, which HasanAbi doesn’t control. It was even more shocking to hear that even xQc and MoistCr1Tikal’s videos are getting reuploaded in an illegal method.
HasanAbi is working closely with YouTube to take action against the group
The Turkish-American personality revealed his move of working cooperatively with the concerned members of YouTube, so that he is able to take a strict action against them. He took the names of some well known streamers on Twitch, whose content was getting reuploaded in a similar fashion.
“I’m working with YouTube to take some kind of action. Okay?”, he continued to explain that the YouTube channel has uploaded his original videos in such a way that it almost appears like an official video. In the latter part of his livestream, he expressed his frustration at the situation-
“It is completely unacceptable! That’s so f**ked up! And they’re doing it to Charlie, they’re doing it to f***ing xQc and I want to deal with it.”
HasanAbi made it clear that he will be cautious, not to take down the creative fan channels on YouTube, during his effort to remove the Vietnamese channel. He later revealed that initially he thought that some YouTube channels were getting copyright struck from his channel.
Redditors react to HasanAbi’s revelation
The sub-reddit group of streamers were filled with comments on how these videos have horrible edits on their side. They also highlighted how these videos have clickbait stuff to lure their viewers.
Apart from HasanAbi, other streamers such as xQc whose videos are also getting reuploaded, are yet to comment on this situation. It is therefore, uncertain whether they will plan some action against the group or not.
