It has been a successful year for Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson as he was able to meet several personal accomplishments which he had set at the beginning of this year. However, it seems that he continues to break records everyday as recently it was informed by a survey account that MrBeast was able to set to another world record at YouTube.
A Twitter account named YTBattles revealed the fastest growing YouTube channels for the previous week, where the subscribers gained by a channel from December 12-18th were shown. While it is not surprising to see Jimmy Donaldson taking the top position, the record made by him was so astounding that even the YouTuber considered the numbers to be ‘crazy’.
The Kansas native received 3,188,959 (roughly 3 million) subscribers, which is the highest weekly subscriber count for any channel in the ongoing year. When MrBeast came across this, he replied, “In a week? Crazy lol”, it was evident that even the content creator couldn’t believe to see the growth of his YouTube channel in a such a short span of time.
Surprisingly, no other YouTube channel from across the countries were able to surpass the 2 million mark last week, giving out the monopoly to MrBeast’s channel. With still a week left for 2022 to end, it will hardly be a surprise if he creates another record.
MrBeast to drop a video where he predicted his subscribers
Jimmy Donaldson joined YouTube on 2012 as he has been making videos from quite a young age. Certainly, he has tasted success in doing so as he was able to become one of the breakthrough YouTubers right at the starting of 2021, giving a close competition to Swedish YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg.
In addition to that, he was able to break the era of PewDiePie in 2022 as he surpassed his number of subscribers on YouTube, and became the most subscribed individual YouTube channel in the world. As of writing, Jimmy Donaldson holds 122 million subscribers on his primary YouTube channel, with 20 billion views on his videos.
He recently shared with his fans that three years from now, he will drop a video titled ‘Hi me in 10 years’. This implies that the video which is going to be uploaded in 2025 will showcase how the YouTuber made this video 10 years ago and predicted the number of subscribers his channel would receive.
The concept certainly sounds interesting as fans would be eager to know whether the content creator was able to predict the numbers correctly or not.
Fans react to MrBeast’s record
One of the Twitter users suggested that he should take up an Indian channel as they show a lot of potential of being able to take over the YouTube market in near future. Others congratulated him for his victory once again.
MrBeast also had the honor to make it to the cover page of Forbes 30 under 30. In addition to that, he won the content creator of the year award at the Streamy Awards 2022 thrice in a row, making him one of the most popular YouTubers.
