American streamer Nadia Amine who is mostly known for streaming games under the Call of Duty franchise was banned on Twitch when she was having a Just Chatting session on her livestream. While most of the people who kept regular updates on her thought the reason to be ‘cheating’, it was something else in reality.
Nadia took to Twitter to inform her viewers that her account has been suspended for two weeks as she apparently violated the community guidelines of the platform but it was evident, that the ban details were obscure even to her. Few hours later, she gave an update stating that she was banned due to doxing someone on the platform.
What is ‘doxing’ that got Nadia banned on Twitch?
Twitch has banned several partnered streamers over the year as they’re quite strict when it comes to the violation of their community guidelines. ‘Doxing’ comes under one of their community guidelines which implies that the streamer should not share or publish personal information during their livestream.
During her last livestream, Nadia mentioned the real name as well as the PayPal account number of a user who had donated her via a payment app. As this came clear as a violation of their guideline, Twitch handed down a swift ban to the streamer.
Initially the ban was for two weeks, as informed by Nadia, but Streamer Bans informed users that her account was unbanned just after 5 hours. This has led users go divided over the action taken by the platform as some of them wished her ban to stay a little longer, whereas others claim that mentioning just the full name of any viewer does not pertain to doxing.

How are others reacting on Nadia’s ban?
Most of the users were of the opinion that taking someone’s name does not qualify as doxing on the internet but others highlighted that as she is a female streamer, Twitch can’t ban her for a long time.
Nadia had previously been accused of cheating in Warzone 2 that led to her getting canceled on the internet and by the Call of Duty community. In fact, she was also locked from her Activision account, but she continues to stream more or so.
