Riot Games first released their new FPS in 2020. The game has expanded by leaps and bounds in the three years it has existed. The developers have done an incredible job of keeping the game fresh. In fact, the game constantly adds new agents and maps for players to explore. A new agent is added in every seasonal update.

In early October, Riot released cryptic images and teasers for a potential new agent. Eventually, Riot released a 2-minute 54-second story trailer about a new agent named Iso in Valorant. The new agent was eventually released on October 31, alongside Valorant Episode 7 Act 3. He is dubbed as the “bulletproof assassin”

All agents in Valorant have a unique story to tell with an interesting narrative about their origin. They all hail from different countries with different upbringings that make them who they are. Each agent is also backed up by interesting lore and different personalities. With ISO recently joining the Valorant roster, players are curious about the agent’s county of origin and his story.

ISO is the second agent from China in Valorant

According to official details from Riot Games, Iso in Valorant is from the country of China. The agent was launched as a way to celebrate Valorant’s launch in the country this year. He is referred to as a Chinese fixer for hire who falls into a flow state to dismantle his opposition. He is said to be reconfiguring ambient energy into bulletproof protection as he advances with focus towards his next duel to the death.

Riot had already hinted to players about the release of a potential Chinese agent. The name of the image first shared in the press release as part of his first teaser was “duckblood.” Duckblood is a popular dish in China and a traditional delicacy of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province.

Iso in Valorant is the newest duelist agent to join the fray. His abilities help him win gunfights and give his team an edge over the opponents. The agent is great for one-on-one bouts and even has some tanking ability. This makes him the perfect choice for players with a more solo playstyle.
