What are the new Universal Heroes?
Valve‘s popular MOBA title received Patch 7.33 on April 20, 2023, which introduced a new hero attribute type called Universal. The release of the patch was highly anticipated by fans, who were delighted upon its arrival. The recently released New Frontiers update has brought forth a groundbreaking addition to the game’s hero roster. Valve has introduced a new type of hero called Universal, who has the unique ability to benefit equally from all three primary attributes: strength, agility, and intelligence. The developers phrased the new attribute as follows, according to the official release:
“As the fourth spirit brother we’d released, Void Spirit shouldn’t have been a Strength, Agility, or Intelligence hero. To stand apart, he really should have been a new kind of hero. A fourth kind of hero.”
The developers have made a surprising move by stripping the primary attribute from these heroes and providing them with a flat 0.6 damage increase for every point in any attribute. Many heroes who were once known for their strength and intelligence abilities have now found themselves in a different category. Whereas very few agile hard-carry heroes have made the transition.
