The UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya faced UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz to become the first UFC three-division champion. According to Adesanya’s coach Eugene Bareman if he would have won against Blachowicz they should have faced Stipe Miocic for the Heavyweight title.

Blachowicz gave Adesanya the first defeat of his UFC career and interrupted Adesanya’s plan to create history in UFC. In his latest interview with submission radio, Bareman says, “I think I can answer this because it is beside the point now, we lost.”

“If we won the title, for me and our management team and our team, we were going to go all the way, Why stop there? We were going to go up, but nothing to do with Jon Jones. Israel has stated he’s too close to Francis Ngannou to fight him.”

“But, if Miocic won we were going to go all the way 100 percent. Jon Jones, he doesn’t come into any of our planning. When we are planning Israel’s career, he doesn’t exist in any of those decisions,”

“The only person that exists in Jon Jones’ head and life is Israel… If we beat Blachowicz we were going to try and do what has never been done before. Given that Miocic wins.”

Bareman says the fight between Jon Jones and Adesanya still exists

After Adesanya lost the fight against Jan Blachowicz, Jon Jones denied fighting him and the UFC president Dana White also said that this fight is off for now. But Eugene Bareman believes that the fight still exists.

He added, “This fight had nothing to do with Jon Jones, Jon Jones, that fight hasn’t fizzled away. Jon Jones is a businessman. Jon Jones understands how the pay-per-view market works and he understands where the money is, and that’s why this fight doesn’t fizzle away.”

“Because at the end of the day, if it makes money, it makes sense. Jon knows who the biggest star in the sport is at the moment and who can get him paid the most, That is why the fight won’t fizzle out. So, Jon’s gonna, if he hasn’t already,”

“I’m sure he’s probably been on social media and gone through all the antics that he usually does, but at the end of the day, the facts are the facts. The fight doesn’t fizzle out, because they’re the biggest guys in the sport and they bring in the most money, and that’s why the fight still exists.”
